Blinken: Homelab Updates · ultimo aggiornamento 9 ottobre 2026
Cosa resta sull'iPhone
- indirizzo, porta e impronta del certificato dell'agente, nelle impostazioni dell'app;
- il token dell'agente, nel Portachiavi, solo su questo dispositivo;
Cosa resta sull'agente

Privacy
Blinken: Homelab Updates · last updated 9 October 2026
No data collectedThe developer receives nothing about you, your machines or how you use the app.
No accounts, ads or analyticsThe app has no analytics or tracking tools, its own or third-party.
Everything stays on your networkThe app only talks to your agent and your machines.
Who the app talks to
- Your agent: the Blinken service you install on one of your machines. The app reaches it over HTTPS, with a token, and checks its certificate's fingerprint.
- Your machines, over SSH, only to install the agent: it creates the container on Proxmox or copies the agent to the machine you pick.
- Your local network: during setup, to find Proxmox hosts, the app tries port 8006 on the addresses of the iPhone's Wi-Fi network. That's why iOS asks for local network access.
- Apple, to buy Blinken Pro.
No one else: Blinken has no server of its own and sends nothing to the developer.
Only if you allowed it in Settings › Privacy & Security › Analytics & Improvements, Apple may share anonymous statistics and crash reports with the developer, as for any app.
Passwords
The passwords you enter, to install the agent or authorize a machine, are used only at that moment and are never saved, on the iPhone or on the agent. To authorize a machine the agent copies its public SSH key to it and uses that from then on. Passwords never appear in the commands the app shows.
What stays on the iPhone
- the agent's address, port and certificate fingerprint, in the app's settings;
- the agent's token, in the Keychain, on this device only;
- the SSH keys of the machines you installed the agent on, to notice if they change.
Agent › Disconnect agent removes the connection from the iPhone.
What stays on the agent
The agent runs on your machine and its data stays there: the list of machines (names, addresses and SSH users), its SSH key, the automatic check schedule and the history of checks and updates with the commands they ran. History entries can be deleted from the app; Agent › Delete agent… uninstalls the agent and, if you want, removes its key from your machines.
To install itself the agent downloads its distribution's packages and Ansible from PyPI; during updates your machines download packages from their usual repositories. Nothing reaches the developer.
Purchases
Blinken Pro is bought on the App Store: Apple handles payment and receipts, under its privacy policy. The app only asks Apple whether you already own Blinken Pro; the developer never sees your payment details.
The example
Try an example first opens a pretend rack that runs entirely inside the app, with no network.
If you write to support
